A Near Vimes Experience Sir Terry Pratchett was one of the finest fantasy writers of our generation. His Discworld novels perfectly exuded the right balance between satire, commentary and well-written dialogue to make for an unforgettable world that was crying out for a decent serialized adaptation. If The Watch is the best BBC America can come up with however, it’s probably best to stick with the books. As a disclaimer before this recap, I’ve read several of Pratchett’s novels but not the City Watch collection, which this series is loosely (very loosely) based on....

The Final Fight I’ve said it before but an ending can make or break a show. Titans is an interesting one in that respect because not only does it feature a really poor finish to Season 2, it also undoes almost an entire season’s worth of writing for key characters in the space of about 25 minutes. To make matters worse, a key character is killed off in the worst way possible and the entire antagonistic threat is wrapped up in the first half of the episode....

Chasing Unicorns Unicorn Store is one of those films people will either love or hate. The methodically slow pace and strange blend of fantastical elements with the mundane is something that’s not always pulled off that well in the film. Having said that, Unicorn Store does have some good comedy placed through its 90 minute run time but the tonally inconsistent narrative and formulaic, coming-of-age story make this feel like more-of-the-same but in a slightly overlong format....

Their conversation reveals that Jun-hyeong’s mum insisted that she send the first round of wedding gifts even though this is usually done by the bride’s family.
