Mid-Season Madness Acting as a mid-season finale, Fear The Walking Dead appears to wrap up its nuclear subplot with an underwhelming resolution yet a strangely satisfying one involving our fellow plane fixer-uppers. We begin with Logan eventually communicating with the group via radio after all our crew have given up trying to find anyone else out there. With the sirens wailing, we return to present day with Alicia having a hot shower and wiping the blood off her....
Despite it seeming like another cash-in sequel, Finding Dory does a good job of mixing the trademark Pixar flair and humour with a social commentary about memory loss and finding out who you really are. It’s an interesting juxtaposition for sure and one that, for the most part, does well in driving the story and the characters forward. The animation is as good as it ever was and Dory’s journey is enough to sustain attention as we get whisked up in the journey....
A New Challenge Fire Force is back and after a couple of explosive episodes, everything starts to simmer down a bit. Super Stealthy Ships Given how critical I’ve been of Game Of Thrones’ declining writing quality as of late, especially last season, I actually didn’t dislike last week’s episode. Whether this be because I went into this season with zero expectations or I simply got caught up in the tense fighting, direction and score of the episode, I was willing to give Game Of Thrones the benefit of the doubt. I also expected the undead army to make a return to the series given how easily they were killed off and the lack of character deaths in last week’s episode....
