Dynasties’ second episode sees us journey to the frozen wasteland of the Antarctic for an intimate look at the Emperor Penguins. For anyone familiar with previous Attenborough documentaries, this extraordinary species have been shown before and their journey well documented. Despite this, unique camera work and some impressive cinematography make it worth re-watching to see these magnificent creatures survive the cruellest of winters....

A Fun And Simplistic Remake De Blob 2 is a remake of a PS3 3D platformer of the same name and although some of the problems from that game creep into this remake, there’s still an enjoyable, colourful game here that’s aged incredibly well. De Blob 2’s simplistic gameplay mechanics and vibrant world make this an easy game to pick up and play with just the right amount of puzzle solving thrown in to break up the heavy platforming sections....

Village of the Angels Episode 4 of Doctor Who Season 13 whisks us off to November 21st 1967. With a lie detector running askew, Claire Brown is the woman in the hot-seat, as Professor Jericho continues to ask her questions. Suddenly, and inexplicably, she seems to become possessed, growling that there’s “no escape.” As she bolts upright, gasping that the Angel has the TARDIS, we jump back to The Doctor and the TARDIS....

The Finale Following 14 episodes of weird, wacky superhero action, Doom Patrol returns for one final curtain call, as our heroes band together to fight off the final threat and save the world. We pick up where we left off from before, with Niles coming to terms with being responsible for the Doom Patrol’s current predicament. From here, the first part of the episode deals with the background for each of our main characters, with Larry, Rita, Jane, Vic and Cliff all recapped through the eyes of Niles Calder as he slowly begins to realize what he’s done over the years, causing them unimaginable loss and pain....

Swiper No Swiping Dora and the Lost City of Gold feels like a niche film for a very specific audience. If you’re part of that audience, this is likely to be a wildly entertaining and hilarious family adventure. What it does, it does incredibly well with plenty of in-jokes from the cartoon and a handful of well written, goofy jokes that help keep the tone suitably light and adventurous. However, the lack of explanation around key Dora the Explorer concepts like the map and Swiper, along with very basic character arcs make this a film designed specifically for families and children who have grown up with Dora, rather than the average movie-goer....

Chinese Whispers Episode 6 of Elite begins with Guzman confronting Nano in the eerily quiet streets in the night. As he walks away, Guzman tells him he doesn’t have the balls to confront him, which he replies he doesn’t… he has brains instead. He tells him straight he didn’t kill Marina and walks away as Marina’s brother trashes Nano’s car. Following the sibling fight, Samuel is approached at school by Lu who pleads with him not to get the wrong idea over what he saw at the party....

Selfies Episode 2 of Elite season 6 starts with Nico’s parents worrying about their child. At the same time, we flash to Ari driving a car near the club. Could she have been the one to hit Ivan? Or is this a red herring? For now though, we’re back in the present with Ari continuing to try her luck with Nico, catching up with him after football practice to try and bag a date....

Beautifully Chaotic Euphoria’s finale is a pretty accurate reflection of life. It’s chaotic, confusing and structurally uneven as our characters stumble through their storylines to the other side, for better or for worse. It’s almost certainly going to be one of the most polarising finales of the year too, as HBO’s latest drama does its best to wrap up as many character plots as possible, whilst leaving just enough open for a potential second season....

Evil Season 3 Episode 1 Evil Season 3 reunites the cast as Kristen, David and Ben return to investigate strange, supposed abnormal events including demonic possessions. Dr Kristen Bouchard (Katja Herbers) navigates professional and personal problems. She teams up with a priest-in-training for the Catholic church called David Acosta (Mike Colter). There’s also Ben Shakir (Asaif Mandvi), whose expertise with technology counteracts that of David’s spirituality. Of course, these individual characters have their own overarching stories too that help tie everything together....

Rowling’s imagination, there’s a certain wondrous fascination that comes with seeing the way she brings the Wizarding world to life. From the various creatures of all shapes and sizes to the magic and rules the inhabitants abide by, every one of these films have absolutely nailed the aesthetic and visual design of the world. Crimes Of Grindelwald is no exception....
