The story is relatively straightforward but much like David Attenborough’s Seven Worlds One Kingdom, the focus here is on a single creature and showing their trials and tribulations through life....

When it comes to ITV standards you either get a hidden gem or something that’s better left on a burning furnace, with plenty of petrol to hand to keep those flames crisp. Staged across 3 days as a singular TV event (reminisce of the way Millionaire was when it first launched), Quiz is an intriguing prospect and one that relies on a true story to keep the story on an even keel....

Despite some questionable decisions, including a thirty minute chunk of the film that could easily have been removed, ‘Rogue One’ is a good, but not quite great, Star Wars film. It embraces the practical effects that elevate its action scenes light years ahead of the prequel trilogy but it doesn’t quite match the excellence of the original films. After a brief glimpse into Jyn Erso’s (Felicity Jones) childhood, the film picks up with her trapped in a prison and her journey from there to become a member of a ragtag group of rebels tasked with stealing the plans to the Death Star from the tyrannous Empire and bringing hope to the rebellion....

Secrets Revealed Following an agonizing week’s hiatus, Rookie Historian returns with an episode chock full of drama and plot reveals that does well to lay the foundations ready for the final three episodes of the series. With plenty of character development for Goo and finally some answers to the big questions hanging over the series, Rookie Historian delivers a really good episode here, leaving things wide open for tomorrow’s hour-long slice of drama....

Interestingly, 3am In The Morning hard-cuts to the stage without any fanfare or the usual introductions you’d expect....

Set in the middle of the Iraq war in 2003, ‘Sand Castle’ opts for a more character-focused view of the Middle East conflict and does a solid, albeit unremarkable, job of capturing the mood and telling the character’s stories. In an over saturated genre full of blockbuster hits, ‘Sand Castle’ never stands out as anything but an average war flick that’s pleasant to watch but one that won’t be remembered as the years tick by....
