A Mildly Entertaining Collection Of Animated Shorts Split across 3 individual stories, Flavours of Youth is a charming but largely indifferent anime that fails to offer up the emotional drive needed to make this a memorable offering. Artistically at least, Favours of Youth is a beautifully animated offering with vibrant colours and detailed backdrops that help to make this an aesthetically pleasing film. Unfortunately, the characters are largely forgettable and the plots a little too formulaic and lackadaisical to make this an anime you’ll return to in a hurry....

Collars For Dollars We begin episode 5 of For Life Season 2 with Aaron Wallace buying a brand new suit ready for visiting Jamal back in Belmont. As they sit and talk, Wallace admits he’s moved out from Marie’s and is struggling to move past what happened between them. After some encouraging words of wisdom, Wallace turns the attention back to Jamal’s case. Jamal learns that his self-defence plea may be down the drain thanks to an eye-witness report claiming otherwise....

Janete meanwhile feels Claudio’s wrath. When she awakens, bruises plague her face and she can barely talk....

Dinner Nightmare I have always been a fan of Grey’s Anatomy. My daughter and I have been watching since the beginning and we always look forward to the next episode. Unfortunately, over the years the show has started to lack its more dramatic and shocking twists in favour of the same sort of rehashed premise. This latest episode felt like a massive filler, spending no time in the hospital but instead concentrating on some of the less interesting characters....

16 Years In The Making The episode begins with an agent breaking into a secret government facility where a group of babies lie in a darkened room. After snatching up one of the infants, the agent makes a break for it, scrambling out the facility and into a nearby car where his wife waits. What ensues from here are several chases complete with a flurry of gunfire and one persistent helicopter as they try to evade the officials chasing them....

What is Lookism Season 1 about? Lookism then is a Korean anime that tackles bullying directly and it does so through the lens of Hyeong-Seok, a poor overweight kid who’s pushed around by his peers. He’s bullied so badly in fact, that he changes schools and hopes for a fresh start. Only, that immediately goes awry when a misunderstanding turns into a viral video and Hyeong-Seok’s life turns into a miserable fight for survival....

He comes on behalf of his lord Roger Puig, who has been appointed royal knight by the new monarch, King Martin. He is surprisingly civil, asking–or rather, ordering–Hugo to be Roger’s palace cellarman. Not having much of a choice, Hugo begins the job, and he’s able to pick up a lot of gossip about cargo that Roger is selling....

Reaching zero, the ground suddenly starts shaking and out from the door step those same shadowy, smoky creature we saw in the first episode. Kyung-Hoon tries to fire his gun but it’s no good. Jungja is beaten to death, right there in front of all the cameras....

Bye, Bye Mama! The finale of Hi Bye Mama is here and what an emotional roller coaster this has been. This last chapter was no exception and while it gives a good conclusion to most of the main story lines, some of the ghost plot resolutions feel contrived and could have been fleshed out more. Still, the cast do an excellent job with this drama, with a special mention to Kim Tae-Hee who gave an impressive performance throughout, as well as Seo Woo-Jin playing the adorable Seo-Woo....

Flesh & Blood Episode 5 of Hit and Miss begins with the New York detectives starting to close in on Segev. They find the dead bodies dumped and start to piece together what happened. At the same time, Tamir continues to question Assaf. It turns out Assaf supplied her with confidential information for months. Could this be why she wanted to continue their affair? For now though, Tamir agrees to release him, letting the guy go home to his wife....

A Good But Unremarkable Thriller Although Hollow In The Land manages to entertain throughout its 90 minute run time, its also largely forgettable. Part mystery, part detective noir, Hollow is a film that manages to tick all the expected boxes, but never innovates beyond the standards of this genre. Set in a sleepy mountainous town and filmed predominantly through a steady camera following lead protagonist Alison (Dianna Agron), there’s certainly an intimacy within Hollow but the largely unremarkable story throws up little in the way of surprise or innovation....

Many Tears Just as expected, the latest episode of Homemade Love Story was very emotional and had some heart-breaking moments.
