A Fantastical Visual Novel I’m a big fan of visual novels and adventure games in general. Growing up, Monkey Island was one of my favourite games and Discworld was another I remember playing a lot of as a child. My tastes have since changed and more recently I found myself blown away by Mass Effect and other narrative-driven games with meaningful choices. Boasting the best of both worlds, on paper Winds Of Change should be my perfect game....

The story continues to advance at decent speed and remains quite thrilling throughout. All the characters have their own agendas and are committing crimes, making the series all the more exciting. We begin 3 years ago with Tae-Woo and other policemen ready to raid a building....

The Training Begins We begin episode 2 of Wu Assassins with a flashback into Kai’s past, one that sees him told to kill an apprehended, bagged prisoner until he refuses. Instead, we see a younger version of the Triad Leader, Wui Luik, take the hit and shoot the man instead. This brings up back to an enraged Kai in present time, where he confronts Wui about his men being sent to take him out....

Shattered Dreams Picking up where it left off from before, Wu-Tang returns and adds more artistic flair to the series, this time with some nicely implemented animation mid-way through the episode. New York continues to be the star here though and the city lives and breathes that early 90’s flavour that helps to keep the series interesting and realistic. As things begin to settle down, it does become a little easier to figure out who everyone is, but there’s still an air of confusion as the series switches between the two rival groups....
