Snowdrop Episode 8 Snowdrop is the first Disney+ exclusive K-drama, and it’s quite the controversial one, ruffling feathers with Korean citizens and reportedly being rewritten several times over the months. The story is set in 1987, deep within the period of history where South Korea was governed by a dictatorial government. When grad student Soo-Ho is hidden in Hosu Women’s University by Eun Yeong-Ro, a forbidden romance between the two blossoms, with complications occurring when shocking details about Soo-Ho are revealed....

Tell The Moon To Come Episode 3 of Somos Season 1 begins with Paquito’s disappearance causing Mrs Chayo and Aracely to worry. For now, the former hands over a wad of cash to get rid of the child she’s carrying. Chayo is obviously expecting the worst and trying to play damage control. At the ranch Benjamin is offered a new job at the internet cafe by Gerardo. Given he’s in debt and needs cash quickly, Benjamin surprisingly snubs the offer, claiming he can deal with this himself....

Soulful & Heartwarming For the first two acts of Soul, Pixar’s latest animation is easily some of the studio’s best work. The animation is crisp, the ideas unique and there’s some strong themes about passion and finding one’s purpose that gives this a suitable layer of depth. Like a musician hitting a bum note though, Soul misfires its third act which feels at odds with most of the film’s ideas. According to IMDB, the synopsis for Soul reads that this is a film about a musician who’s lost his passion for music....

The Ninth Jedi Episode 5 of Star Wars: Visions begins with hope for the galaxy. This comes in the form of Margrave Juro, ruler of the planet Hy Izlan. He intends to try and harvest rare kyber crystals in order to bring the Jedi back. Only, dark forces conspire to thwart this, launching their own sinister plan to destroy the remaining Jedi and bring about the Sith ruling all. This forms the basis of our animated adventure, as a man named Ethan shows up on the planet following an emergency transmission....

Summer School: Chapter One Episode 1 of Stargirl Season 2 begins in Indiana decades before our story actually takes place. A girl called Rebecca swings on her chair outside as a boy called Bruce shows up. He is essentially the devil on her shoulder, encouraging the girl to head across the street to a party and steal a present. In doing so, this boy holds up a purple jewel, not unlike the one we saw Cindy grab at the end of season 1....

Pick Up the Pieces Episode 5 of Station 19 starts with Andy on a video call with her mom. She is preparing for a date and her mom is helping her pick out a dress. Her mom says she is proud of her for dating outside the fire department and Andy says she knows what she wants. She casually brings up Eli and says he is the kind she doesn’t want....

A Slow Paced, Beautifully Written Spanish Drama Beautifully written and methodically paced, Spanish drama Sunday’s Illness is a brutally devastating story about one woman’s decision that forever destroys her child’s life. Full of long, suffocating shots and poignant dialogue throughout, this artistic drama uses every trick in the book to accentuate the uneasy story being told. Those expecting something a little quicker paced or rife with fiery arguments and tense fights may be left wanting but for those with the patience to get through some of the longer scenes, there’s an emotionally charged narrative waiting to be discovered....

In the morning, Maddie, Helen and Dana all head to the office to file their petition....

While these two are the protagonists, the series features a slew of other interesting characters, each rounded off well in development. Care has been taken to make more than just one-dimensional high-school-type caricatures modern films have been flooded with. Tell Me Lies is an extension of perversity in the form of toxic love seen on the screen where the characters are mostly unlikeable and unrelatable.
