Set in St Louis, Missouri – the ‘Gateway to the West’ – the film focuses on Parker and his attempts to support the families that have been designated to him. As he had a troubled childhood himself, he is able to relate to the kids that he cares for, and this is what makes him so good at his job. This isn’t to say his casework doesn’t take its toll on him, however....

Secrets Revealed The King: Eternal Monarch has been a bit of a slow burn but boy has its second half of episodes stepped it up a gear. With lots of unraveling pieces still left to be put back together, some of the bigger mysteries of the series are starting to be answered now, including just who was inside the palace all those years ago. While the twist is one that many fans will have seen coming, especially given the sheer amount of clues that have been meticulously picked apart by fans eager for answers, the reveal is still surprising nonetheless and leaves lots of scope for next week’s set of episodes to deliver more of the same....

Between interspersed flashbacks, different days and character perspectives, the plot skips all over the place, offsetting the pacing completely and delivering one of the most divisive gaming (and narrative) experiences of the year. The Last Of Us Part II begins 5 years after the on-point ending to The Last Of Us, with Ellie and Joel living in Tommy’s settlement in Jackson, Wyoming....
A Film Of Two Distinct, Tonally Jarring Halves The Last Paradiso depicts a forbidden love story that crescendos at the midway point, flatlining into stagnated mediocrity for the latter periods of the picture. With muddied ideas of revenge, romance, honour and family, The Last Paradiso fails to expand on its central themes, making for an unfortunately forgettable watch. Set deep in the heart of Southern Italy, 1958, this Netflix movie depicts the trials and tribulations of a toxic romance that’s unlikely to garner much empathy from audiences....
The Marshal The Mandalorian’s first season was pretty good. Its practical effects and evident Star Wars vibes were great but these positives were held back by an abundance of deus ex machina and an awkward blend of episodic and serialized storytelling. While it was good, the abundance of quality on the small-screen means the show struggled to even break into our top 40 list last year. But of course Star Wars fans will inevitably latch onto this, given it’s one of the few shows that have actually done well with the Star Wars licence....

This sets us up for a timeline leading up to (and following) Ae-Gyo’s death....
