Penultimate Problems Hyena has definitely saved the best for last. Ever since our main duo discovered Chan-Ho at the crime scene, this law-drama has really turned up the tension and managed to deliver a really well written and interesting couple of cases to end things on a high. Given tomorrow is the finale it feels like the drama is just starting to kick into high gear and it’s definitely going to be a shame to leave these characters after tomorrow’s inevitably climactic finish....

An Artistically Crafted Stop Motion Film Wes Anderson’s stop motion film Isle Of Dogs is a charming, artistically crafted adventure about dogs being banished as a result of an outbreak of canine flu. This amusing, sneeze-filled 90 minute film manages to blend humour and touching drama in impressive fashion, ticking all the technical boxes with its gorgeous cinematography and harmonious use of colour and lighting. There’s a real attention to detail here too in every painstakingly created scene making Isle Of Dogs one of the more unique, impressive offerings to come out this year....

The Cliffhanger After four tumultuous episodes, the season finale of Jinn does well to keep things interesting but the cliffhanger ending and multiple unresolved plot threads are pretty disappointing, especially given the build up in the previous episode for what felt like a climactic finale to come. When the dust settles, Jinn’s failure to wrap things up is just another thing to add to a list of issues this series has clocked up over the episodes which is a real shame as the show started pretty brightly....

F.F. – The Witness Episode 20 of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part II takes place where we last left off with Jolyne, Anastasia, and Yo-Yo Ma fleeing the prisoner ward and heading into the marshlands. F.F. stays behind and plans to murder D an’ G to get rid of Yo-Yo Ma. In the marshy terrain, Anastasia stops the boat. He hears other airboats full of guards coming their way. They arrive, and the guards are armed with heavy weapons....

A Much More Comedic Sequel When Sony Pictures announced a sequel to the 90s family film Jumanji starring Robin Williams, it’s fair to say the reception was less than positive to this news. Acting as a direct sequel to the first film, Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle reinvents itself with a fun and humorous follow up. Whilst it may not have the same lasting appeal or compelling characters the first film achieved, there’s enough here to pay homage to the first whilst offering enough originality to make this a fun but largely forgettable action adventure film....

Fitting In Episode 3 of Little America begins in Nigeria 1967 with two young boys fixated by the big screen as a cowboy film plays. Only, the electrics go out prompting immediate waves of disappointment to ring around the open-cinema and the kids forced to head back home with their father. We then cut to 1981 with Iwegbuna grown up and in Oklahoma attending school. Moved to the front of the class, he asks his teacher to put his cigarette out but he ignores him and continues to address the students....

Episode 2 Episode 2 of Live On backtracks a few steps with Eun-Taek calling Ho-rang to the booth, followed by a memory that serves as a quick recap of the previous episode. He begins to furiously clean and organize; his response to stress. Skip forward to the moment when Ho-Rang rushes into the studio, confronting her bully live on air. In the hallway, Eun-Taek is scolded for the mishap. The intensity increases as the Head walks by, nodding in approval....

There’s some really imaginative ideas here and the story itself begins promisingly enough, setting up the main players and preparing for a nightmarish, binge-worthy series to follow. The main premise injects a healthy dose of mystery into the story and the three central kids at the heart of this one do well to keep things interesting....

Contact Episode 2 of Lost In Space Season 3 begins with Judy setting off to find Grant Kelly. Heading aboard the ship, she manages to open one of the cryo pods but there’s a problem. The heart monitor flatlines and Grant Kelly looks like a goner. Thanks to some ingenuity, Judy manages to bring him back from the brink. Grant finally awakens and gets up to speed on what’s going on....

The New Guy Episode 3 of Lost In Space Season 3 begins with Scarecrow leading the Robinson’s up to an abandoned ship. There’s a whole horde of robots lurking about though, but this seems to be the spot they can salvage an engine from. With 12 robots to fight against, the plan is put into place to take the engine for themselves. John remains wary of Scarecrow’s allegiances. Grant and Judy touch down, landing two-miles below the canyon and into camp....
