Fresh on the heels of the popular Kissing Booth and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before franchises, Sex Appeal wrests attention from “getting the guy” and refocuses its story as one of self-discovery and sexual awakening. However–in an obvious attempt to draw a complex picture of sex–the film drastically oversimplifies what sex means to each character, portraying the concept as less relatable to the common teen experience and more moralizing to viewers....

Inner Conflict Episode 2 of Skylines begins with Jinn cycling to work before settling in for his management job at the Continental Hotel. That is, until he receives a call from Semir. He asks him to take a break as he races toward the hotel to speak to him. Once Jinn gets in Semir’s car, he hears his beat and Azad rapping over the top. With his loyalty to Tonik hanging in the balance, Semir tells him that if he’s honest with himself then Jinn is there for one reason – he’s sick of part-time rappers and wants more for his life....

Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. While it is in no way a classic of the genre, 2021’s Slumber Party Massacre is a mostly enjoyable watch and a cut above many recent slasher horrors. The movie begins in 1993 with that traditional horror setting, a cabin in the woods. Trish Devereaux has rented a cabin so she can have a slumber party with her friends Jackie, Kim, and Diane....

Margaret also has a big day ahead. The mayor of Portland is embroiled in a sex scandal with a girl named Lexie Fawcett. He has come to Margaret for help and she must prepare accordingly. Lyle, of course, is still repulsed by Todd and assigns him a ridiculous office, where they keep the case files. It is a storage room basically but Todd has to be content with it at the moment....
