Despite some formulaic camera work and a slightly rocky start, The Bay’s interesting dynamic between a few of its characters and ensuing mystery is enough to keep this one watchable, even if it doesn’t reinvent the wheel or showcase anything that hasn’t been done already....

Great Visuals, Disappointing Story The Droving is an Indie mystery thriller that could have been great. With some decent cinematography taking full advantage of the gorgeous Lake District setting, the visual design of the film is let down by failings in almost every other category. When it comes to Indies, it’s easy to look past some of the acting with a competent and enjoyable story. Although the opening 40 minutes or so do well to build up a tense atmosphere and some initial intrigue, the second half squanders this with a tonal shift and an ambiguous ending that leaves a lot up to interpretation....
