Protein Episode 1 of Sweet Home begins in September 2020. Armed soldiers descend on a snow-covered, abandoned apartment block as we see weird, twisted creatures snarling at the sky. From the wreckage of this building a solitary human being shows. Blood-stained and staggering through the snow, a helicopter overhead tracks his every move as the soldiers on the bridge prepare to fire. Despite numerous blasts to the chest, he simply brushes these aside and continues walking....

Road Dahl’s iconic story about a giant befriending a little girl is given the Spielberg touch in a charming adventure that, whilst its first half is full of wonder and magic, feels like it wears thin in the second act. Despite a pretty good story and some amazing CGI effects, the second half of the film is what lets it down initially. The visuals are enough to sustain wonder and awe throughout, even if it does wear thin late on, and its good to see Road Dahl’s trademark humour put to good use here....

Netflix’s wildly popular historical drama, The Crown, was devised by Peter Morgan and is based on Stephen Frears’s well-known drama-fused historical movie named “The Queen,” which was based on real-life events. It dramatizes the rule of Queen Elizabeth as well as how the dynamics around the throne and her family issues affect her choices. The fifth season of the series, which is set in the 1990’s, centers on the strife involving Charles and Diana that finally causes their separation and subsequent divorce....

Chapter 12 Episode 12 of The Devil Punisher begins with Chung and Ouyang Kai digging deeper into the cinema incident and note that Chia-Chun appears in the CCTV footage from the day. Chung follows En-Hsi but she’s tipped off as she sneezes whenever he’s nearby. She tries to send him packing, misunderstanding the situation. Instead, he assigns Ouyang Kai to protect her but warns him just to protect, not pursue her....

Chapter 14 Episode 14 of The Devil Punisher sees Chung share information with Hsin-Yu, starting with Wu Ching-Yuan having an accomplice. En-Hsi listens in on the conversation, even with Ouyang Kai distracting her, and hears mention of Lu Chi. Hsin-Yu is about to ask questions regarding Lu Chi but they find an injured Fox Spirit. They take her to Chung’s place to remove the malicious spirit aura. Big Boss sent her to pass a message on – that Chung can’t interfere with karma in the human realm....

Babylon’s Ashes What happens on Laconia? Episode 6 of The Expanse Season 6 begins back on Laconia. Cara arrives back home to find her parents desperate to find out where she’s been. She confirms that Xan has been “fixed”, as her brother shows up with blackened eyes and a strange disposition. Gary, Cara’s Dad, grabs a knife and slashes at hos son in fear, spilling drops of black blood on the ground....

At the beach, Conrad and Lynn share their last conversation. It’s a poignant scene because we’ve heard about these last moments from Lynn and now see them play out: Conrad’s first time trying guacamole, Lynn asking if he is okay, Conrad insisting he is fine....

Hera’s Revenge Agency We begin episode 2 of The Goddess Of Revenge with a flashback of Hae-Ra as a child tending to her constantly coughing Mother. She’s clearly ill and since that moment, this high school girl has worked hard to try and pay for her Mother’s hospital fees. Hae-Ra took an advance from a pretty shady guy but as he switched off the lights and looked set to attack her, she quickly pushed him away and got the police involved....

Elsewhere, Perez and Allen are coming to work together. Apparently, they have been working on a research project and Perez spent the night at Allen’s place. Asher spots them and he tells Allen that Perez is breadcrumbing her. According to Asher, Perez is giving Allen just enough attention to keep her hooked while being noncommittal. Allen says they are just friends but Asher tells her she may be settling for whatever little attention Perez is willing to give her....

The Interest Of Love Episode 6 The Interest of Love is the latest romantic K-drama, this time taking place in a bank. The story here predominantly revolves around three main individuals. Sang-su is a hopeless romantic and he finds himself head over heels for his colleague, Su-yeong. She’s busy supporting herself but ends up entangled with Sang-su. After a date goes horribly wrong, Su-yeong loses interest and finds comfort in Mr Jeong, a security guard who also works at the bank....

Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey The King: Eternal Monarch returns this week after a single episode last week with a really strong but also narratively conflicted episode. For a long time it looks like the series was gearing up for a time paradox – what happens in the past has always and will always influence the future – but alas that’s not the case given the ending we receive here. Still, there’s a lot of neat little Easter Eggs that are thrown in and make sense now in the context of what we’ve seen and it certainly makes for an enthralling watch....

Shin-Jae’s Truth The King: Eternal Monarch returns with a revealing episode as the two worlds start to merge together and the dividing lines blur. At the centre of this are Lee Gon and Lee Lim, who both have seemingly been the catalyst for the issues that are affecting both realities. With some big reveals and some insight into exactly what will happen for the rest of the series, Eternal Monarch is gearing up for a pretty dramatic second half to this Korean drama....

This is obviously prior to Coydog getting into trouble, although ironically he does get into mischief at the party, leading a girl upstairs after paying his way. With Coydog gone, he’s given a young Ptolemy is offered a bath downstairs in the big tub situated in the living room....
