A superior sequel but with the same lack of depth A finer film than its predecessor, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Revenge of Scar makes an intriguing second chapter in the trilogy. The story flows a lot better, with events and characters coming together more easily and efficiently than they did before. Plot continues to take priority over depth but when the more sombre scenes strike, they hit the right emotional chord. Overall, this is a fun and exciting watch, more so for new fans than old ones....

But once you get in the groove, the runtime is deeply rewarding. ‘Furioza’ works on a pretty simple plot without too many complications. A taciturn policewoman (Dzika) investigates a crime cartel, whose head is her ex-boyfriend’s brothers. Their treacherous past and macabre present prove no bar in their professional relationship....

Assembling The Team Good Casting is a lot of fun. Blending comedy, drama and espionage shenanigans, SBS’s latest Korean drama is certainly a hit. With three strong females at the centre of this and an intriguing set-up for the season ahead, Good Casting throws in an awful lot of exposition during its opening hour but it does so with some excellent cinematography and editing, making for a joyous watch. Episode 1 of Good Casting begins in the middle of the night under the cover of darkness, as a group of men board a fishing vessel and present a case full of fish....
Blackmail Following the cliffhanger last week, Good Casting returns for another episode that sees very little of Mi-Soon while progressing the main narrative after Chan-Mi’s kidnapping. With Michael closing in on our trio and a much darker crime thriller starting to filter in, Good Casting loses some of that initial charm with its comedy to pave way for more tension.
