Intertwined Fates Following the recent announcement of Netflix’s future partnership with JTCB, Chocolate is the newest Korean drama showcased on Netflix and if the first episode is anything to go by, things look very promising indeed for this collaboration going forward. As long as this 16 episode structure remains intact, with episodic releases, the injection of Netflix’s funds should be enough to produce some really impressive, big-budget k-dramas in the future....
Bittersweet Chocolate has been the one drama I’ve actually been anticipating the most this week. It’s always difficult for dramas to emulate the same tension and high stakes as the first couple of episodes, taking a few weeks to settle into a consistent groove, but Chocolate picks up right where it left off from before and delivers another very impressive episode. With a lot of time jumps back and forth through time, Chocolate is a drama you really have to pay attention to but it’s worth it for some of the character drama and emotional pay offs....

Cleaning Up Episode 9 Taking over from My Liberation Notes, Cleaning Up is the latest K-drama to occupy that time-slot, working as a remake of the UK series of the same name. The story revolves around Eo Yong-Mi (Yum Jung-Ah), An In-Kyung (Jeon So-Min) and Maeng Soo-Ja (Kim Jae-Hwa) work as cleaning ladies at a brokerage company. Yong-Mi raises her two daughters and struggles to make a living. In-Kyung dreams of buying a food truck to run a mobile business....
Downward Spiral Episode 4 of Cobra Kai Season 5 starts with Carmen returning home and finding the tap broken. There’s a hilarious Top Gun-esque montage here, as Johnny heads over, plays volleyball and acts like the perfect father. Of course, this was all one big dream but a hilarious one all the same. When Robby’s mum arrives, she immediately susses out that Johnny is expecting a child. She also offers up a job opportunity as a rideshare....
The long awaited reboot of Crash Bandicoot comes in the form of a sleek PS4 remake that stays incredibly faithful to the original adaptations. With a graphical overhaul and better animations, the bandicoot is as good as he ever was when he first spun his way onto the scene in the 90s. The first game stands out as the weakest of the trilogy though but Crash 2 and Crash 3: Warped are pinnacles of a platforming era that epitimise just why this genre is so good....
The Flatliners With the finale up next, Crash Landing on You’s penultimate episode certainly delivers a dramatic and explosive chapter, setting the scene for what’s to come as this wonderful series takes its final bow. We’re left to wonder just what will happen to our protagonists after the shocking cliffhanger which will undoubtedly lead to even more emotional moments in tomorrow’s episode. Hiding The Truth Episode 3 of Criminal France begins with Matif and Sarkissian conducting an interview with Jerome Lacombe. They ask him why he was fleeing when he saw the police and he replies that he started running because he was scared. They then reveal that the victim is Remi Fabretti and he was beaten so badly that he died on his way to the hospital. As it turns out, Jerome is unable to provide an alibi for the whole night....

Holding onto everything that’s yours, everything that you love and cherish, is extremely challenging in these times, and focusing on the good rather than the bad is more difficult than before, but perseverance is fundamental and could be a cure. Deaf Havana is a band which has created something special....
The Final Countdown With only 4 episodes to go and 30 days until the Presidential Elections in the show, I can’t help but feel Designated Survivor will struggle to wrap up its story in a satisfying manner without some serious time jumps coming into play. The alternative of course, is that 60 Days leaves things hanging on a cliffhanger for a second season. Either way, right now it’s difficult to see how this Korean drama will wrap up in a satisfying manner with only 4 episodes to go....
