Renewed Or Cancelled?
Surface is a simple mystery drama, complete with an amnesia-stricken protagonist and a group of characters holding big secrets. If you’ve finished watching this one, you may be wondering if this has been renewed or cancelled. Here’s what we know:
What is Surface Season 1 about?
Set in high-end San Francisco, the story follows Sophie, a woman who has suffered a traumatic head injury following an incident on a boat. Plagued with extreme memory loss, she’s told by everyone around her that this was as a result of a suicide… but was it really? Sophie is not so sure and as a result, sets out to try and piece together her life and figure out what happened. From her shifty husband James to best friend Caroline, it seems everyone has a secret they’re keeping from her. Has Surface been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, AppleTV+ has officially renewed Surface for season 2. Given Apple’s track record for renewing a lot of its shows, that’s perhaps not surprising. Both critic and audience reviews have been pretty mixed but the ending is left somewhat open (no spoilers here!) It would appear that the show will pick up where the previous season left off, with another twisty mystery to follow.
What we know about season 2 so far:
Not much is known about season 2 at the time of writing, given this one has only just been renewed. Given Apple’s great track record with renewals, it’s perhaps unsurprising to see that news come in.
