It’s here he runs into Vignette who asks him just what he’s doing inside the cell....

A Promising Sign Of Things To Come A lot of people were pretty torn over the first season of Castle Rock. With a glacial pacing and unanswered questions at the end, Hulu’s horror series got off to an admittedly rocky start, one that looks set to right those wrongs and quieten the doubters with its second season. With a more cohesive storyline and plenty of Easter Eggs dotted throughout, Castle Rock gets off to a very promising start here, with a tantalizing first episode that leaves things wide open for the season to come....

Zombie Nation Castle Rock has been a strange kettle of fish this season. From lofty heights to mundane mediocrity, this follow-up story has been an improvement over the first but a seemingly muddied one too, flitting between creepy, atmospheric horror and, as this latest episode shows up, closer to Walking Dead levels of action-packed horror. With plenty left on the line for the finale and a disappointing amount of screen-time for Annie, it’ll be interesting to see how this one rounds out its plot threads but this penultimate episode does feel a little anticlimactic and disappointing....

The female devil hunter lays the rules for Denji, who is starting to find her a bit scary. Denji confirms that Pochita’s dead and doesn’t like how the woman treats him like a pet. They arrive at a rest area, and the woman says she’ll pay for his meal since he’s out of cash....

The Taste of A Kiss Episode 7 of Chainsaw Man begins with Denji transforming into Chainsaw Man and ripping the Eternity Devil to shreds. Power informs the others that Denji might be in danger because he’s losing a lot of blood. Doing so will cause his chainsaws to retract. Everyone stares at the brutal sight from afar. Himeno recalls a meeting with a fellow Public Safety official as she was burying one of her deceased comrades....

Cheer Up! Episode 11 Cheer Up is another sport drama that has a great blend of romance, drama and thrills. The story centers on Do Hae-Yi, a student at Yonhee University. She’s bright and diligent but because of her family’s dire financial situation, she’s forced to place her priority into making money rather than her education. However, everything changes when Hae-Yi joins the cheering squad, Theia. She only joins for money but soon finds herself becoming engrossed in the tight-knit group dynamic....

It’s all about evolving. And German band Chiefland certainly do this on their EP Clarity. The pop punk elements soar, and the rock charms have been instilled well, blending in with the sadness which bares its soul. This act does not fade at any moment, though the themes are drenched in deep sorrow. Wicked games are explored, hope begins to fray, and the lyrics convey a sense of impending doom....

Tarot Reading After the third episode, Sabrina slows down for a bit of a filler episode, injecting some mischievous fun into proceedings and allowing the actors to really embrace a different side to their personas. A woman claiming to be a tarot reader arrives at the shop Hilda works in. Setting up shop, she begins reading the fortunes of the various main characters of the show. Sabrina is up first and with seeds of doubt over Nick in her mind, the tarot reader conjures up surreal images for our teenage witch to fester in....

The Disney+ mini-series, Connect was released globally on December 7th and fans around the world started tuning into a new universe of mutants coming from South Korea. The show is a quick watch with six episodes in total. Each episode has a run time of 43 minutes which makes the show pretty short in comparison to other K-dramas. Starring Jung Hae-in in the lead role with Go Kyung-po as the villain, Connect tells the story of a parallel universe where there exists creatures called the Connect, who were created in a Pharmaceutical laboratory as recently as the year 2000....

Crazy Love Episode 8 Crazy Love is a romantic comedy K-Drama which follows the love story between Noh Go-Jin (Kim Jae-Wook), a popular math instructor, and his secretary, Lee Shin-A (Krystal). Noh Go-Jin is also the CEO of GOTOP education and despite not having gone to university, he has managed to excel thanks to his high intelligence and charisma. This forms the crux of the case we’re going to be dealing with this episode, as we cut across to Finola and Bryan. They leave their jet and discuss the former’s family while heading to the crime scene....

The Fingerprint Episode 2 of Defending Jacob starts the morning after with Andrew and Laurie confronting their son about the knife. He tells them that it’s not a big deal and that he brought it to show off at school. Andrew is not happy with him and asks if he has ever used it, mentioning what Derek wrote online. Jacob denies it though, upset that they would think that and tells them what people write online doesn’t mean anything....

The Cable Car Episode 8 of Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol begins with Eun-Seok finishing the movie with Ra-Ra and heading home. Just before they part ways, Ra-Ra rejects his advances and apologises if she offended him. Smiling through his pain, he asks if she wants to go for ice cream instead. Just before they go, they’re interrupted by Joon showing up and telling Dr Cha to say goodnight to her....

Do Revenge brushes aside those low, dated industry standards and has a fresh – albeit a bit dark – twist that even manages to indulge itself in relevant competing ideas about gender differences and patriarchy. Another good movie with a similar tone you must check out is Honor Society, starring Angourie Rice. Many parts of Do Revenge reminded me of it, although the two projects take different paths. Do Revenge revolves around an ironic friendship struck between two girls burning up with revenge fever....

A Much Improved Episode In A Tumultuous Season Of Quality Anachronistic dialogue aside, Doctor Who’s sixth episode is a much improved slice of time travel sci-fi and finally gets the show back to the promising start it set itself up for early on. While the show still suffers from a lack of compelling antagonistic writing and there always seems to be two too many companions along for the ride, Demons Of The Punjab is a much improved episode, one that manages to prevent the show from collapsing in on itself after a couple of disappointing episodes prior....

The Universe’s Biggest Retailer Has An Even Bigger Secret After last week’s much improved episode, much has been said over the overall quality of Doctor Who this year. While some feel it’s a little premature to put the blame squarely on Chris Chibnall’s writing, Kerblam! only further reinforces this, delivering a slice of compelling sci-fi. One not written by Chris Chibnall. Although the plot does follow the same beats as Matt Smith’s episode The Beast Below, there’s enough here to make Kerblam!...
