Injustice 2

Injustice 2 is a gritty follow-up to NetherRealm Studios’s first game. This game features brutal action sequences and sheds a darker light on the superheroes and villains fans to grew up with. Like other fighting games, Injustice 2 isn’t a stranger to DLC. There were several DLC packs made for the game to give it more longevity. These DLC packs included characters from the DC Universe. On the other hand, this game features guest characters like Tekken and Super Smash Bros. who aren’t from the DC Universe. From the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Mortal Kombat’s Sub-Zero, there is a slew of strange yet exciting appearances to look forward to in the game. DLC aside, this game boasts incredible visuals that make our characters look realistic. The amount of detail put into the cast’s emotions, facial features, and body language will astound anyone. The stages in this game wreak gloom and doom. While some characters exhibit cheerful emotions, players should expect our cast to display mannerisms and enact decisions that aren’t faithful to their characters. If you’re looking for another realistic fighting game featuring meaningful and bizarre characters, play Injustice 2.

Batman: Arkham City

Fans looking for an excellent action-adventure game featuring Batman should look no further than Batman Arkham City. This game boasts an incredible narrative, mesmerizing visuals, and stellar gameplay. In it, players witness Batman getting incarcerated in Arkham City, a well-kept prison closed by Gotham City. As Batman, you must search for the facility’s warden Hugo Strange and thwart his evil schemes. If you’re unsure about Hugo’s status as the game’s villain, don’t fear. Several iconic villains like The Joker rear their dastardly heads in the game too. The combat is well-varied and players can look forward to completing several missions that are combat and detective-focused. The game allows players to traverse the Arkham City prison at their leisure. Whether you want to converse with its residents or tackle the map’s various missions is up to you. Players can unlock new areas by progressing through the game’s story and by obtaining equipment. Lego Batman 2: The Videogame

The LEGO brand has given players amazing iterations of fictional characters. From Luke Skywalker to Harry Potter, it’s hard not to find a series or franchise this brand hasn’t tried replicating yet. LEGO Batman 2: The Videogame is an amazing title with a clever-written interpretation of everyone’s favorite caped crusader. The second game follows Batman and Robin defending Gotham City against notorious enemies like Lex Luther and the Joker. Other heroes and villains are included in the game’s 50-character roster. Each character comes equipped with unique abilities to help them stand out. Batman and Robin receive extra love in this title compared to the first LEGO Batman video game. In it, players can obtain new suits and gadgets for these two to master like Batman’s Power Suit and Robin’s Hazard Suit. The dialogue is as humorous and charming as in other Lego games. This is a fun solo and co-op title that you can play with your friends or family via split-screen.

DC Universe Online

With the rise of free-to-play online games like Fortnite, it makes sense for other media brands to hop on the bandwagon. DC Universe Online is an action-packed online RPG full of satisfying content and admirable characters. However, fans who don’t like grinding for experience, super-loot, and characters may not find this title appealing. Nonetheless, this game offers an enjoyable ride and a nice community to interact with on a daily basis. The game boasts a phenomenal character customization system to allow fans to make original heroes and villains. For those who lack creative genius, the game offers several templates to help you with the hero and villain design process. DC Universe Online’s gameplay boasts fun real-time combat. Gamers new to the title will find themselves delivering several haymakers on foes to gain experience. The character animations aren’t too great the henchmen lack variety from a design perspective. This game boasts a decent RPG-like system and gives players access to cooler skills as they progress.

The Wolf Among Us (Series)

If you adore visual novels with endearing narratives, well-written characters, and beautiful scenery then you should consider checking out The Wolf of Among Us. This series was developed by Telltale Games and consists of I’ve episodes that were released from 2013 to 2014. In the game, players control a sheriff named Bigby Wolf and watch as his story unfolds in a Fabletown. This town is located in 1980s New York City and features many fantastical residents from fairy tales and folklore. You’re tasked with helping Bigby solve numerous murder cases. Critics adored the game for its gripping narrative and fabulous graphic novel-like visuals. You’ll find yourself traversing through many three-dimensional environments to look for clues. You can interact with your environment by selecting the object via a cursor. Items you find important can be stored in the inventory and used for a later time. The game features much dialogue and players can discuss with NPCs. This is where the game’s choice-based structure comes into play. Choosing a specific response can have a positive or negative effect on how characters perceive Bigby. Alongside solid quick-time events, The Wolf Among Us is an incredible adventure game to play.

Lego DC Super-Villains

Typically, Lego games often put you in the position of the hero. Lego DC Super-Villains isn’t only a return to form with developer Traveler’s Tales but it gives players an intriguing spin on the formula. Where the 2016 Suicide-Squad film failed to deliver a wonderful experience for movie-goers, Lego DC Super-Villains offers something more clever and varied in return. This is a stylish game jam-packed with enough action-centric bits to keep fans on their toes. Players will enjoy seeing their custom creation play a central role in this villain-centric title. In the game, the Justice League vanishes and a new league is formed called the Justice Syndicate. Unbeknownst to the public, this league consists of villains who aim to assist Darkseid in his obliteration scheme.

The Death and Return of Superman (SNES)

Although Superman ran into a dilemma with his Nintendo 64 title, Superman 64, he’s embarked on a gaming adventure that’s beloved by fans. The Death and Return of Superman for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System adopts a fabulous beat-em-up formula that’ll make fans wish this game received a sequel or remake for modern audiences. Despite focusing on Superman, this game features many characters from the DC Universe. Some characters include Superboy, Doomsday, and other notable figures. This game boasts five different Superman-themed characters to play as. Each Superman feels fun to play as, but don’t vary much in abilities and stats. The gameplay itself is standard for a beat-em-up title. You can move in many directions, defeat hordes of foes, and perform grabs, combos, and super attacks to lay waste to them. The Adventures of Batman & Robin (SNES)

The Adventures of Batman & Robin boasts wonderful graphic and fun action-platformer elements. Each stage harbors a menacing boss for players to overcome to make things feel more lively and entertaining. This game offers many weapons and gadgets for Batman to use. This game features incredible action scenes, and a charming atmosphere, and pays tribute to Batman. However, fans couldn’t overlook the game’s technical issues and plot. The second entry, Batman: The Enemy Within improves upon this game’s issues drastically. Nonetheless, Batman: The Telltale Series has enough nuance to warrant your time. This game gives players the chance to tackle situations like Batman or his mundane alter ego, Bruce Wayne. This dynamic allows players to forge unique play sessions that differ from others. On that note, this title offers a branching narrative, meaning your choices will play a vital role in affecting later events in the game. The game also features some entertaining quick-time events and investigation sequences to avoid feeling like a full-fledged movie.

Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure

Scribblenauts boasts high entertainment value and makes learning fun. It helps players expand their vocabulary while promoting problem-solving techniques. This puzzle-based video game was developed by 5th Cell and published by Warner Bros for the Nintendo Wii U, 3DS, and PC. It’s the fifth game in the franchise and has its mascot hero Maxwell working alongside DC’s iconic heroes. Like previous games, players control Maxwell, a boy who has the power to manifest any object or person using his magical notepad. He uses these objects and entities to resolve problems. The game features many recognizable to obscure characters from DC’s universe. Players can use these characters to help them solve issues. For example, Maxwell might need Superman’s heat vision to free a key trapped in ice. Maxwell can also modify the appearances of these characters to make quirky iterations of them. For example, writing “Zombie Batman” in his notepad will cause a zombie-iteration of Batman to appear alongside you. You can visit multiple locations from the DC Universe in this game.
